What to do (Local Students Only)

Prospective students need to apply and be interviewed.

An application form is available at this site. It should be completed, signed by parents and returned to the College. An interview – of about thirty minutes - with the Principal will be arranged by the College: the student and at least one parent should attend.

At interview, the student needs to bring:

  • Passport or other evidence that the student is an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • The most full recent school report. This is usually the last end-of semester report. It there has been a change in academic progress, previous reports should be brought for comparison
  • If the student has completed any VCE subject, the student's VCE number is required
  • Any other documents that may help the application, for example: academic awards; music certificates; competition results; psychological tests.

The major point of the interview is to ensure that the student and the school suit each other. The College has firm academic requirements and requires students to have a mature, motivated and realistic approach to their studies. So the school has to be certain of the student's attitudes and style. Although the College is academic in approach, students with moderate results are accepted provided their attitude is appropriate.

The interview will allow the student and parents to become familiar with the College and its programs – a tour through the College can be made. In line with the College's student focus, the decision to accept an offer to join the College will be directed at the student: it is hoped parents will maintain that focus in discussions with their child.
