Dr Neil Lennie BAppSci, BEd, MA, PhD, DipBus(Acc)

FAIM, FAMI, CPM, MRS, MAIP, MACE, MACEL

Dr Lennie is a well-known and highly respected educator not only in Melbourne but around Australia and overseas. He has had much experience in Melbourne independent schools including being Deputy Principal at Mount Scopus College and Overnewton College and being Headmaster at Caulfield Grammar School - three of the largest schools in Victoria. He has also been Chief Executive of the Science Teachers Association and Executive Director of the Australian Council of Educational Administration. For over ten years he has been an educational consultant, particularly in Singapore .

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Lennie has maintained an active role in teaching. Over the years his students have achieved outstanding results including top-of-the-state. He was State Chief Examiner in Physics and recently he was lecturing full-time in Mathematics and Statistics at Swinburne University where he achieved record student outcomes. He has also taught subjects such as Educational Administration, Business, Marketing and Public Relations at tertiary level plus an enormous range of subjects at secondary school level.

Dr Lennie holds Bachelor degrees in Applied Science and Education, a Masters degree in Arts and a Doctorate in Educational Administration. He is also qualified in Business. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Marketing Institute, a Cerfified Practising Marketer and a Member of the Royal Society and the Australian Institute of Physics. He is also a member of the Australian College of Educators and the Australian Council of Educational Leaders.

Dr Lennie has dedicated himself to educational excellence and academic pursuits for his entire career and has developed great expertise in teaching, curriculum and school management. He is also a ‘people's person' and enjoys working with young adults to achieve their personal best results.

Mr Lennie has been teaching for The New Generation College since 2000 as part time Specialist Mathematics teacher to Year 12 students.

He is married to a teacher and his daughter is also a teacher. A skilled musician, Dr Lennie has been Director of Music at Haileybury College – one of Melbourne 's leading colleges. He has worked professionally as a tenor soloist and also as a pianist. Dr Lennie is also well known as a theatre Director in Melbourne 's active theatre scene: his most recent production was a sell-out season of Les Miserables . Dr Lennie was born in Australia but spent his early years in the Middle East returning to an Australian boarding school to complete his education. He has travelled extensively, particularly in Asia , and takes a particular interest in other cultures.
